About our San Clemente sunroom and patio company

Who runs this business, how we work and what happens after you call about a sunroom or patio project.

Our story, from restaurant kitchens to sunrooms

I spent my twenties on the line in restaurant kitchens before I moved over to building. I learned this trade on sunroom and patio crews around south Orange County, and in 2017 I started San Clemente Sunrooms and Patios here in San Clemente. A kitchen teaches you that a bad night usually starts with a bad setup. A sunroom works the same way, so I'd rather spend extra time on the base and the plan than rush into the build.

Most of our calls come from homeowners who want more use out of a patio or deck they already have. Over the years we've become the sunroom contractor people call for the awkward ones, like an old deck, an uneven slab or a wall that takes the full afternoon sun. I like those jobs, because working out why a slab sits low or a wall cooks all afternoon is half the fun for me. I keep a clean site, and when you ask a hard question, you get a straight answer.

How we handle your sunroom project

These are the parts of the job you'll notice most when you work with us. They come from how I learned to work, with the prep done first and nothing left for you to chase.

  • We plan the room with you first

Before anything gets built, we work out the base, the room type and the glass with you, so the room fits how you'll actually use it. A screen room for summer evenings and a four season room you'll sit in all year start from very different plans.

  • One person from estimate to final check

I'm the one who looks at your deck or slab at the estimate, and I plan the build myself. Our crew does the work and I check it along the way, so the plan you heard at your house is the one that gets built.

  • Permits handled by your licensed contractor

In San Clemente, the city's Building and Safety Division issues permits for additions and remodels. When your project needs one, we pull it as your licensed and fully insured contractor, prepare what the city or county asks for and meet the inspector, so the paperwork isn't left to you.

What happens after you call us

Here's how a job runs from your first call to the finished room. The order matters to me, because every step sets up the next one.

  1. Step 01

    Call or send the form

Call (949) 312-6032 or use the form on our contact page and tell us what you've got, whether that's a patio, a deck or a bare patch of yard. We reply within one business day to set a time to come out.

  2. Step 02

    Walk the site with me

I come out for a free estimate, look at your base and where the sun hits, and ask how you want to use the room. The price usually turns on the base, the room type and the glass, and there's no pressure to book.

  3. Step 03

    Our crew builds, I check

Once any permit the job needs is in hand, our crew builds in order, base first, and keeps the site clean as we go. I check the work along the way, because a room is only as good as its setup. Your satisfaction, guaranteed.
