Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any estimate, contract or work you get from San Clemente Sunrooms and Patios. When you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or book a job, you agree to them, so please read them first.
If we sign a written contract for your project, that contract controls wherever it differs from this page. Anything this page doesn't address is covered by the contract and by California law.
What we do
We're a sunroom contractor in San Clemente, CA. We design and build sunrooms, patio enclosures, screen rooms and patio covers, and we convert existing patios and decks into sunrooms. You'll find the full list on our home page and more about the business on our About page.
What's on this site is general information about our work and the cities we serve. It isn't an offer to do a particular job at a particular price. Your project is set only by the estimate and contract we give you after we've seen your property.
Estimates and pricing
We give estimates at your property, because the size of the room, the site, the existing slab or deck and the materials you pick all change the price. An estimate is our best figure based on what we can see and what you tell us before work starts.
Some things only show up once the job is open, such as a slab or deck that can't carry the new room, hidden damage, or changes a permit office requires. When that happens, we stop, explain what we found and put any added cost in writing for you to approve before we go on. We won't bill you for extra work you didn't agree to.
Prices in an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, we may have to update it if material costs change.
Scheduling and cancellation
We set a start date with you once the contract is signed and any permits the job needs are in place. Weather, material deliveries, inspections and permit timing can move the schedule, and when they do we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to reschedule, please call us at (949) 312-6032 as early as you can so we can rebook the crew. If you cancel after we've ordered custom materials or started work, you're responsible for the cost of those materials and the work already done, as your contract spells out. California law may give you a right to cancel a home improvement contract within a set period after signing, and your contract will explain how.
Payment
Your contract lists what you'll pay, when each payment is due and how you can pay. Payments are tied to stages of the work, so you aren't paying far ahead of what's been done.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made, and the contract may add late charges allowed by law. Our crew and suppliers are paid from your payments, so on-time payment keeps the job moving.
Warranties and what we don't promise
Any warranty on our workmanship is the one written into your contract, and the warranties on windows, panels, roofing and other products come from their makers. We'll give you the maker's paperwork, and following the maker's care instructions keeps that coverage in force.
Apart from those written warranties, the website and its content are provided as they are. We don't promise that the site is error-free or always available, and photos, examples and general information on it don't guarantee any result for your house.
Warranties don't cover damage from misuse, lack of upkeep, changes someone else makes to the work, settling of ground or structures we didn't build, or storms, earthquakes and other events outside our control.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, our total liability for any claim about our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room, lost income or the cost of temporary arrangements.
We're not responsible for how you use information from this website, or for other sites we link to. Nothing here limits any right you have that the law doesn't allow a contractor to take away.
Settling a disagreement
If something about your project isn't right, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest when we come out and look at them together. If we can't settle it that way, either of us can take it to small claims court or to the courts serving Orange County, California, unless your contract sets a different process.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of California, where San Clemente Sunrooms and Patios is based.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time. The version posted here applies from the day it's posted, and a change doesn't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, call us at (949) 312-6032 or reach us through our Contact page, and we'll explain it before you book.
